The Story

The Christmas Barn started with a simple idea: creating a place were families can make memories together. In a world that moves so fast, we wanted to offer a place where people could slow down, walk through the trees, laugh together, and make choosing the family Christmas tree part of their tradition. The barn itself holds a special place in our hearts. It was originally a horse barn built by Patty’s dad, and Christmas was always his favorite holiday. Transforming it into the Christmas Barn has allowed us to give new life to the building, using lumber he sawed right here at our mill. In many ways, this venture is a tribute to his memory and the legacy he left behind.

As a family-owned sawmill, we are passionate about sharing the story of the forestry and lumber industry, helping others to understand the importance of caring for our forests and utilizing our natural resources responsibly. The Christmas Barn also gives us an opportunity to showcase the beauty and versatility of the lumber we produce. From the projects we build to the products we offer for sale, visitors can see firsthand what can be created from a renewable resource that is grown, harvested, and processed right here in our community. Our hope is that families leave with a special tree, lasting memories, and a greater appreciation for the forestry and lumber industry that plays such an important role in our daily lives. If we can help create traditions, share our passion for this industry, and honor the memory of the man who started it all, then we’ve accomplished exactly what we set out to do.
